It gives me immense pleasure to note that KG Reddy College of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad is organising the 2nd International conference on Multi-Disciplinary Research and Sustainability Development – 2025 (ICMED 2025) during 21-23 Feb 2025. Sustainable development and engineering research are the main topics of the International Conference on Multidisciplinary Research and Sustainable Development. These are two key ideas in the domains of research, practice, and policy that seek to address difficult global issues and advance the welfare of present and future generations. When addressing difficult challenges, multidisciplinary development refers to a method that combines knowledge, expertise, and viewpoints from multiple fields and sectors. It acknowledges that a lot of the problems that modern society faces are interrelated and cannot be fully comprehended or resolved inside the boundaries of a particular field or industry. Interdisciplinary Research Promotes research that efficiently addresses problems in the real world by bridging the gap between several disciplines. Because multidisciplinary approaches acknowledge the interdependence of these problems, they are essential in tackling concerns in engineering and sustainable development. So balance between three major goals such as Social justice, long-term implications, and ethical resource management are necessary to achieve sustainability. Multidisciplinary techniques must be incorporated into sustainable development in order to provide a more thorough knowledge of the intricate sustainability concerns. Policymakers and practitioners can create more successful policies and solutions that take the social, environmental, and economic aspects of development into account by bringing together specialists from a variety of sectors. So organising this international conference is appropriate and highly appreciable. The KG Reddy College of Engineering and Technology will be surely be one of those institutes committed to build a better world for all and organising the 1st International Conference on Multidisciplinary Research and Sustainable Development – 2025 (ICMeD 2025) will work as catalyst for the same.
